WHILE expressing confidence in Bacolod City’s business climate amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, real estate giant Megaworld Corp. announced the start of development of another residential tower in its 34-hectare Upper East Township in the eastern part of the city of Bacolod which was once the compound of the Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company.
Harold Brian Geronimo, Senior Assistant Vice President of Megaworld and Head of Public Relations and Media Affairs, who spoke at a press conference at the Sky Deck of Stonehill Suites in Bacolod City yesterday April 22, said the fourth condominium project called Herald Parksuites is part of the 28 billion peso investment made by the company for the development of the whole township.
Geronimo said that even during the pandemic, when they launched One Manhattan as Megaworld’s third residential tower in the Upper East, there was an overwhelming sell-out in their units, which means there really is. a large market for residential properties in a township of Bacolod City. .
The manager said that most of the Megaworld customers here are attracted by a township concept, the concept of life-work-play, which is why they choose to buy units in a township setting.

Palmares-Fong said what is very exciting about the new condominium development is that, for the first time in the capital Negros Occidental, each unit is equipped with a wireless smart home system and appliances. with Wi-Fi router, video intercoms, as well as an emergency generator for a lighting fixture in the living room.

With the launch of Herald Parksuites, Megaworld said it now has an inventory of nearly 1,000 condominium units in Bacolod City.
In 2018, the firm launched its first residential tower, the 12-story One Regis, and the following year it launched its second tower, the 14-story Two Regis.
In 2020, the company also launched the 14-story One Manhattan.
Geronimo said it was all part of the 10-year capital expenditure for the Upper East that began in 2018.
In terms of employment, the development has already generated at least 4,000 jobs.
