Groupe Devimco inaugurates a $160 million condominium project in Canada
Real estate developer Groupe Devimco and its partner the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ have inaugurated the $160 million Wellington sur le Bassin condominium project in Montreal, Canada.
Part of the District Griffin project, Wellington sur le Bassin is located in the Griffintown district and faces the Peel Basin.
The tower will have an angular prism-like shape, with 380 units of up to 1,328 square feet spread over 25 floors.
It will include studios, one- to three-bedroom units and penthouses.
The ground floor will include a fitness room and a terrace, as well as a large reception hall.
The top floor will include a patio with an outdoor kitchen, a rooftop pool, a private dining room, an urban chalet with a kitchen. Barbecues, a fireplace and a pergola will also be part of this floor.
Wellington on the Basin will also offer 360° views of Mount Royal, downtown and the St. Lawrence River.
Devimco Group vice-president, acquisitions and development and partner James Goulet declared: “We are proud to have been the first, but above all the main architect of the development of the new Griffintown sector.

The Devimco Group recently partnered with Concordia University to establish the latter’s Next Generation Cities Institute.
