PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Three people were injured when a fire broke out early Wednesday at a University of Texas residence hall, officials said.
The fire occurred shortly before 6 a.m. in a student housing building at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, about 70 miles northwest of Houston. The school said the dormitory was evacuated and all residents were found.
The university said three injuries were reported, but did not provide details.
Firefighters told Houston Television KTRK that the fire appeared to be contained in a hallway on the third floor. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
